    Ongoing: Extreme winds (Vestfold, Oestfold, Oslo and Akershus)

    From Friday afternoon south storm force 10 on the coast, and locally strong wind gusts, up to 35 m/s in costal areas. Inner areas can also experience wind gusts up to 25-30 m/s . The wind is veering west and decreases early Saturday morning.

    ConsequencesIt is dangerous to be outside due to items taken by the wind. Expect major delays and cancellations. Very strong wind will likely shut down all public transportation and may cause major power outages and closed roads. High risk of major damage to buildings and infrastructure.

Under certain conditions the radar waves are deflected and hit the ground instead, giving false echoes. False echoes can be recognised by being fairly motionless.
