  2. Applies to Ofoten and Troms

    From Friday afternoon, locally large amounts of precipitation are expected, up to 150mm in three days. Precipitation as rain up to about 1500 meters. Saturday, rainfall will decrease slightly before it increases again on Sunday. In the most intense rainfall periods, night to Saturday and Sunday, it can reach up to 70mm in 24 hours.

  4. Applies to Nordland og Troms

    Rain followed in some places by heavy showers is expected. Relatively high temperatures and windy conditions, causes significant snowmelting. Steep slopes, as well as streams and river with high discharge are particularly exposed. Risk of slush flows is especially high in areas with more than 40 cm snow. The snow may in some places be fully water-saturated. Slush flows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slush flows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows.

    InstructionsKeep away from steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with high discharge. Keep water paths and culverts free of snow, ice, gravel, waste, twigs and leaves. Clogged waterways with dammed water may cause landslides.

Tromsø observation station (90450)

The station is located in Tromsø municipality, 100 m.a.s.l. It is the closest official weather station, 0.9 km away from Sjøgata. The station was established in August 1895. The station measures precipitation, temperature, snow depths and wind. There may be missing data.

Last 30 days: Average temperature was -6.0 °C, 1.6 °C below the normal. Highest temperature was 4.7 °C (15 February), and the lowest was -14.3 °C (28 January). The total precipitation was 68.0 mm. Highest daily precipitation was 12.3 mm (15 February), measured at 7am (8am daylight savings) for the past 24 hours. Highest wind speed was 12.0 m/s (14 February).
