A polar low is developing east of Bear Island. The low will move southwesteards, and probably reach the Vesteråls banks Monday afternoon. The low is expected to give north gale force 8 to severe gale force 9 west for the senter.Severity

ConsequencesAbrupt change in wind speed and wind direction. It can be difficult to navigate due to snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility. It can be locally difficult driving conditions due to heavy snowfall in combination with wind.

ConsequencesLoose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Bridges may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
