Weather forecast forTrones, Verdal (Trøndelag)

  1. Applies to deler av Trøndelag

High temperature will cause significant snowmelting. Groundwater and soil moisture are high. The soil is water-saturated. Risk of slushflows is especially high in areas with more than 50 cm snow. The snow may in some places be fully water-saturated. Slushflows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slushflows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows. Steep slopes, as well as streams and river with high discharge, are particularly exposed.

Large amounts of rain are expected in the warning area. Large snow melting due to rising temperatures is expected. The combination of rain and continuous snow melting will increase water discharge. Hydropower production will in some cases act as flood control, and therefore the issued warning will not necessarily apply to all regulated waterways.
