    Severity
    Yellow severity - moderate danger
    Orange severity - considerable danger
    Red severity - extreme danger
The colour tells you how severe the situation can become (hjelp.yr.no)

InstructionsTravelling in avalanche terrain requires advanced knowledge, experience in route finding and ability to identify the avalanche problem. Generally, it is recommended to avoid avalanche terrain. Avalanches may hit some avalanche-exposed roads and occasionally settlements.

  2. Applies to Nord-Norge

Relatively high temperatures causes significant snowmelting. Groundwater and soil moisture are high. The soil is water-saturated. The issued warning is in the lower part of the warning level. Steep slopes, as well as streams and river with high discharge, are particularly exposed. Risk of slushflows is especially high in areas with more than 50 cm snow. The snow may in some places be fully water-saturated. Slushflows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slushflows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows.

  3. Applies to Trøndelag, Nord-Norge og nord i Østerdalen

Large snow melting due to rising temperatures is expected. Catchments with no snow are not flood prone. Continuous snow melting will increase water discharge in rivers. From sunday expected to reach yellow level. The discharge is expected to further increase throughout next week (week no. 23). Hydropower production will in some cases act as flood control, and therefore the issued warning will not necessarily apply to all regulated waterways.
