closeFrom Friday evening blowing snow are expected in the mountains due to strong westerly winds and snow showers. First in the mountains north of Finse, from early Saturday morning also south of Finse. Wind and snow showers decrease early Sunday morning.

Allow extra time for transportation and driving. Follow advice and check status from transport operators. Check road reports (175.no). Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places.
Consequences
Reduced visibility. Local driving conditions may become difficult due to snow accumulating on the road. Expect convoys and/or closed roads on short notice.

On Friday we expect considerable avalanche danger for region Jotunheimen. Avalanche problem is persistent weak layer (slab avalanches).
