closeLocally moderate vessel icing is expected in coastal and fjord districts from Thursday morning in North Helgeland, Salten, Lofoten, Ofoten and Vesterålen.

Instructions
Remove ice from the boat.
Consequences
Rapid ice accumulation on a small boat may cause it to lose its stability, tip over and sink. For ships the issue is more directed towards slippery decks, handrailing, ladders, iced down safety boats and safety equipment. Ice accumulation may also damage radio communication if the antennas are freezing. Moderate ice accumulation on the bow/bridge of the ship.

Loose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Some journeys may have longer travel times. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
