  1. Saturday a polar low develops at Tromsoflaket, and moves westward to D3. From Saturday afternoon the polar low moves south and will likely hit Trondelag Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. In western part of the polar low it is expected north storm force 10, possibly violent storm force 11 of short duration. It is currently uncertain where the polar low will hit, stay updated on the latest weather warnings.

    Applies to Froeyabank, Haltenbank, Sklinna Bank, Traena Bank, C4, D3, Deep D4, E3, F3, Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag.

    Be aware of very abrupt weather changes. Follow advice and check status from transport operators. Check road reports (175.no). Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving.

    Consequences

    Abrupt changes in wind speed and wind direction. It can be difficult to navigate due to snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility. Driving conditions can be hazardous, vehicles and trucks can become stuck. The power supply may be impacted. Many journeys will have longer travel time.
