  1. From this afternoon, Friday, to Saturday afternoon locally large amounts of snow is expected. Precipitation as snow is expected above 200-500 m, from early Saturday morning decreasing. The largest amounts of precipitation is expected in the areas north of Boknafjord and south for Sognefjord.

    Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.

    Consequences

    Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult.   2. On Friday we expect considerable avalanche danger for region Hardanger. Avalanche problem is new snow (slab avalanches) and persistent weak layer (slab avalanches).
