Detailed weather statistics for Strynefjellet Sommarski, Stryn (Vestland)

  1. Applies to deler av Sør-Norge

Relatively high temperatures causes significant snowmelting. Snowmelt will occur even in the high mountains. Steep slopes, as well as streams and river with high discharge, are particularly exposed. Risk of slushflows is especially high in areas with more than 50 cm snow. The snow may in some places be fully water-saturated. Slushflows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slushflows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows.
